Amber Paasch, Ph.D.
Bioinformatics Fellow
I am interested in the evolution of microbial immune strategies and the relationship between microbial hosts, their pathogens and their symbionts. I am also interested in adaptations that occurred early in the evolutionary history of life on Earth and give clues about the environment in which the traits evolved. Prior to joining the Pollard lab, I did my PhD work on plastid evolution at the Sackler Institute for Comparative Genomics at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.
