Shiron Drusinsky
Graduate Student
I am a PhD student in the Biological and Medical Informatics program at UCSF, where I am also pursuing a designated emphasis in Computational Precision Health. My research focuses on how mutations in non-coding regions of the genome can cause disease, and I am interested in integrating machine learning and multi-omic methods to address this question. Prior to graduate school, I graduated with a degree in Neuroscience from UC Santa Cruz, and in my free time I enjoy cooking, video games, volleyball, baseball, gardening, and reading.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Outreach Activities
At UC Santa Cruz I served as the Vice Chair of the Cowell College Student Senate and at UCSF I volunteered for AI4ALL.
